The 2011 Audi A6 leaks out
The first official photos of the 2011 Audi A6 have leaked out on to the interwebs, a few days ahead of Audi’s official reveal.
The next Audi model due for a change is the Audi A6, amd Audi started out this last few days with a blurry teaser image of its new E-Class / 5-Series competitor. But we didn’t bother to run it - although we should have – as it just seemed a bit pointless. But now we get the first official photo leaking out courtesy of Autoblog.nl, so we get the real deal instead.
So what’s the judgement on the 2011 Audi A6? It’s an Audi A7 with a boot. Which I suppose is pretty much what we expected. And just like its big-brother – the 2010 Audi A8 – it looks rather like an Audi A4 that’s been out snacking with Giles Coren and Sue Perkins.
Which makes it a bit hard to get too excited. Yes, it will be beautifully built and the cabin will be a joy. Actually, it’ll be more than a joy. It will – as far as we can tell – be exactly the same cabin as the A7 gets. Perhaps the new A6 should have been the A7 Saloon. Or maybe the A7 should be the A6 Coupe. Still, at least you can tell it’s an Audi.
