Jaguar XKR-S Convertible - For Sale at £103k in the UK

Jaguar has revealed that the new XKR-S Convertible will cost £103,000 in the UK and there will be just 100 cars available.

We noticed yesterday that Jaguar in the US seemed to have confirmed that the US price for the new Jaguar XKR-S Convertible – currently strutting its stuff at the L.A. Auto show – is $138,875, and that the States is getting just 25 cars, which have all been sold.

Despite a frantic search of our inbox, we couldn’t find any sign of a UK price for the soft-top XKR-S in the UK, so we got hold of Jaguar who have confirmed the UK list price as £103,000. The most expensive Jaguar on sale.

Jaguar also tell us that the UK will be getting four times as many XKR-S Convertibles as the US, with 100 cars up for grabs. But that’s just an initial production run, and if they sell out quickly they’re open to increasing numbers.

We assume the same applies in the US – if the cars sell Jaguar will make more – so US buyers who haven’t stumped up a deposit yet on an XKR-S Convertible look like they’ll still be able to get one, even if they have to wait a bit longer.

It seems likely Jaguar will find also the UK allocation of the soft-top XKR-S moving swiftly out of the showrooms too, which is no surprise.

Despite standing next to the new C-X16 at LA, the XKR-S Convertible managed to look far younger than its years, doubtless helped by the very cool white paint job and XKR-S add-ons. 0-60mph in not much more than 4 seconds and a top speed of 186mph don’t do any harm to the cause either.
