A sleepy San Francisco resident awoke to find the 2012 Porsche Boxster, 911 Turbo, 911 Targa, 911 Cabrio & new Cayman on his street. Fortunately, he managed to shoot it on his phone.
There are umpteen people round the world who make a living from camping out in inhospitable terrain in the hope of snapping a new car before the car maker wants the world to know. And they make a decent living from flogging those snaps to car media round the world.
So those poor guys must be spitting feathers when they see what one sleepy resident of San Franciscan found lining up on his street when he was awoken by the sound of a Porsche 911 or three outside his bedroom window.
Lined up on that slumbering San Francisco street was a selection of Porsche’s next generation of cars, from the next Porsche Boxster to Turbo, Targa and Cabrio versions of the 2012 911 and even a next generation Porsche Cayman.
Understandably, despite the early hour, our intrepid San Franciscan leapt in to action, grabbed his phone and proceeded to shoot the assembled throng of next generation Porsches while he had the opportunity.
The opportunity didn’t last too long as the posse of Porsche drivers ran around to organise a swift exit from the roving lens of our intrepid spy photographer, but not before we got a look at every car on offer.
Well done that man.
