A Limited Edition Nissan Leaf Black Edition will be on sale from March 2017 featuring a black design makeover for Nissan’s popular electric car.
If you’ve been taking notice of Nissan’s ‘Special Edition’ cars this year, it will come as no surprise to see this, the 2017 Nissan LEAF Black Edition, arrive to put a bit of fizz in to LEAF sales.
After all, in June we got the Nissan Note Black Edition (which could now be viewed as a run-out special in the UK), and the first Qashqai special edition arrived in July as the Nissan Qashqai Black Edition SV.
Just as you’d expect, the LEAF Black gets a dose of dark makeover to make it look rather more appealing and purposeful, with 16″ black alloys, LED headlights, privacy glass, black door mirrors and black roof spoiler.
The Black Edition also gets Around View Monitor and NissanConnect EV telematics, and as it’s based on the Acenta trim it should also have stuff like reversing camera, Cruise and auto lights and wipers.
Gareth Dunsmore, Nissan’s European EV Director, said:
The Nissan LEAF Black Edition offers our customers stylish, premium design in an affordable mass-market 100 percent electric vehicle.
We are committed to delivering innovation that excites and this vehicle does just that, with our leading Around View Monitor technology offering customers a more confident drive – embodying Nissan Intelligent Mobility.
If you like the looks of the LEAF Black Edition, it will be on sale in the UK from March to August 2017, with the first 1,000 customers getting a free Wi-Fi hotspot.
Oddly, Nissan hasn’t come up with a price for the LEAF Black, but we’re sure they’ll manage that by the time it goes on sale in March.
