With the debut of the new James Bond film, SPECTRE, we get a view behind the scenes of Bond’s latest car – the one-off Aston Martin DB10 – in this video.
The next instalment of the James Bond franchise – SPECTRE – is now close to its debut, so to keep interest in the new Bond outing bubbling along we get another video from the film makers on the Aston Martin DB10, specially created for SPECTRE by AML.
We first saw the DB10 just before Christmas last year when it was revealed at an event to reveal not just the Aston but that Bond 24 would use a name familiar to all Bond fans – SPECTRE.
Based on the Aston V8 Vantage, the DB10 appears to get its 4.7 litre V8, but with a bespoke interior and exterior which, although not heading for production, is said to preview Aston’s future styling and is an indicator of much of what to expect when the DB9’s replacement – the new Aston Martin DB11 – arrives.
AML has built 10 DB10s for SPECTRE, including a ‘Hero’ car which is a perfect example for shots of Daniel Craig jumping in and out, a pair of stunt cars and a pair of gadget cars, with as many cars again to cover all eventualities.
Aston Martin say they won’t be selling any of the DB10 cars created for Bond, but we have a sneaky suspicion the ‘Hero’ car may cross the auction block at some point.
The new James Bond SPECTRE – complete with DB10 – gets its world premier on 26 October in the UK.
