We have a photo of what appears to be the new Aston Martin DB11, shot by a member of the public in Spain and sent to a Dutch website.
The Aston Martin DB11 is due to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in a month’s time, and it looks like we have our first look at the first proper new DB in 13 years thanks to a sharp-eyed member of the public.
The photo (above) was uploaded to AutoJunk in the Netherlands by a reader who grabbed the image as Aston Martin closed roads in Spain to shoot a video.
It’s not the highest quality image, but it does look likely this is the new DB11, complete with new design that looks to us to have taken some influences from the One-77, as well as AML concepts like the DBX and CC100, and it looks similar enough to the DB11 spy video we’ve seen to be credible.
But the one thing that’s thrown us a bit is that this Aston is sporting the current 6.0 litre V12 engine AML has been using forever, and not the new AML 5.2 litre turbo they teased recently. It’s also supposed to be black, according to the DVLA, but this DB11 is grey.
Of course, it may be that the new engine isn’t going to appear in the DB11 to start with, and Aston has given it a new coat of paint, but it does cast a small element of doubt about whether we’re getting our first look at the DB11 or not.
But with the DB11 due to debut in just a few weeks, we’re going to find out soon.
