It looks like the Aston Martin Rapide is going to list at $200k in the US.
It’s reported that Aston Martin has revealed the US list price for the new Rapide as $200,000 at a launch event in Hollywood.
Update 4/12/2009: Aston Martin has now confirmed that the Rapide will start at £139,950
As we’ve discussed on countless occasions, Aston Martin has taken forever to get the Rapide ready to roll. That’s finally done – with the official Rapide launch at Frankfurt – and customer cars will start to hit showrooms in the new year. Aston Martin has finally managed to issue a decent set of photos of the Rapide but one thing they haven’t done is release pricing details.
Aston Martin has been rolling out the Rapide at a glitzy event in Hollywood this week. And insiders report that Aston Martin were telling the ‘Beautiful People’ that the four door Aston is going to list at $200,000. Which is actually a bit less than we’d expected. Most expected the US price to be approaching $250k and the UK price at over £150k. But if the reports are right for the US then we’ll probably see the Rapide coming in at £140k in the UK.
Still a lot of money – especially in comparison to the Panamera Turbo – but on looks alone it should be a million dollars.
