The BMW M240i M Performance arrives as a limited edition of 750 M240is showcasing BMW M Performance goodies on the newly facelifted 2 Series.
Before you get too excited, the M Performance take on the M240i doesn’t get any more power than the regular model, but as that delivers 336bhp from its turbo straight-six – good for 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds (4.4s with xDrive) – and the options of manual or auto gearboxes and rear rf four-wheel drive xDrive, that’s not exactly a problem.
The cosmetic changes are, however, quite extensive, kicking off with an Alpine White paint job with contrasting elements in matte black and carbon fibre, with 19″ grey alloys complete with flat, diamond cut finish. There are also tweaks to the front apron and splitter, bigger black side skirts and a part painted rear diffuser.
There are just 750 units of the M240i M Performance available, but in truth you will be able to take a regular M240i and spec it up with all the goodies this car has if you wish.
The M Performance M240i goes on sale in July, But BMW hasn’t yet decided how much you’ll be paying. The regular M240i starts around £36k.
