Bugatti 16C Galibier – back in Black

Bugatti has released a new set of images of the Bugatti 16C Galibier, the ‘Concept’ Bugatti thought of as a replacement for the Veyron.

The Bugatti 16C Galibier came to our attention back in September at the time of the Frankfurt Motor Show, although it wasn’t on the floor at the show. Bugatti claimed it to be just a concept; a way of judging opinion about the next car in the Bugatti line.

That’s not a line we ever took seriously. We’ve been convinced that the Galibier is scheduled to go in to production in 2012 when the Veyron comes to an end. Not as a replacement, but as an addition to a growing range of cars. We see the Galibier as the super saloon with a new, lighter and even more extreme Veyron coming along a year or so later. We also see, although it’s no more than a guess, a Hyper-Saloon to recreate what the Bugatti Royale was.

But Bugatti are sticking to their guns over the Galibier ‘Concept’. It’s still a concept, they say, despite building a working car, creating a video (twice), taking the Galibier round the world and getting the Galibier signed off for production.

So let’s play along. Bugatti have released a stack of new photos of the 16C Galibier (although they look like Photoshop/CGI images). This time the car is all in black and we get a full set of exterior, interior and detail photos.

So we’ve added all the new pictures to the original Buggati Galibier photo gallery and added it below.

Just so you can see what the Bugatti Concept that isn’t going to be made looks like.
