Bugatti has released a new video of the Galibier, which looks set to make an appearance at the Los Angeles Motor Show.
Back in September, when we were busy running endless stories about the Frankfurt Motor Show, Bugatti decided to release details of their Galibier Concept, a four door supercar powered by the same hugely potent engine as the Veyron. They were at pains to point out – endlessly – that the Galibier was just a concept. A possible way forward. A potential future Bugatti.
Frankly, we weren’t convinced. The Galibier was far more than just a concept. It signalled the way forward for Bugatti and – despite their protestations – it wasn’t being considered as the replacement for the Veyron, rather an addition to the range.
Last month we reported that the Galibier had been given the green light, and that belief is reinforced after Bugatti released an extended version of the original Galibier video they sent us in September. The new video coincides with the showing of the Galibier to a specially invited few last week in Los Angeles.
And we think the Los Angeles presentation is a very big clue that Bugatti will be showing the Galibier to the public at the Los Angeles Motor Show next month. Hopefully they will also confirm that the Galibier is just an addition to the range and will reveal details of the other two Bugattis they are intent on building. Several sources have told us that there will be a ‘Super Veyron’ announced before too long and Bugatti are also set on building the ultimate car – the 21st century Bugatti Royale.
We’ll know soon enough.
