We told you a couple of days ago about the latest in a long list of Bugatti Veyron special editions – The Bugatti Veyron L’Edition Centenaire. Well, all we could really show you then was a scan of the brochure for the car. After all, Bugatti wanted to keep the car secret prior to its showing at this weekend’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Cernobbio, situated rather prettily by Lake Como, and hadn’t issued any pictures.

Well, Bugatti still haven’t sent us any official pictures, but we do have the one you see here, direct from a slightly rainy Villa D’Este (they should have had it in London – dry and sunny here!). So the car’s is in the real world – rain and all – but it does look stunning. I’m always surprise how good the Veyron looks. Not as big as you expect, it seems almost dainty from some angles. And I was a fan of the Pur Sang edition, with its polished bodywork (but not such a fan of the inflated prices they fetched), and the Centenaire emulates that polished bodywork to great effect.

Not exactly the biggest story of the week, but nice to look at. But we will be posting a pile of pictures direct from Villa D’Este when they’re all in. After all, even if we’re all too skint to indulge in this sort of car, it’s great to drool. And Villa D’Este does have some cars that are definiteley worth drooling over.
