Citroen has given the C4 Picasso and 7-seat Grand C4 Picasso a bit of a cosmetic makeover, new options and additional technology.
It’s less than three years since the Citroen C4 Picasso arrived (and just over two years since the Grand C4 Picasso made its debut) with a new look, more room and less weight.
But even though the C4 Picasso pair are still quite fresh, Citroen has decided it’s time for a titivate to try and keep buyers interested, so both cars come in for a modest facelift, extra personalisation options and some extra technology.
Citroen has given both cars a new nose – and it’s a shared nose this time – with a wider grille, new fog light surrounds, new bumper and, at the back, 3D-effect LED tail lights and a new Citroen badge.
Personalisation option now include a two-tone roof and new alloys for the C4 Picasso, and a new silver option for the roof bars on the Grand C4 as well as new paint options including Grey, Lazuli Blue and Soft Sand.
Inside, there’s four design and five upholstery options, a new 3D Citroen Connect Nav with 7″ touchscreen, hands-free tailgate, Speed Limit Sign info, Adaptive Cruise, Lane Departure Warning, Safety Brake and Blind Spot Monitoring.
Citroen has also added two new engine options,, with a 1.2 PureTech 110 with a six-speed manual available just on the C4 Picasso and a 1.2 PureTech 130 with six speed auto available on both cars.
MPVs and People Carriers may not exactly be the flavour of the moment, but Citroen’s offerings do make sense for those still attracted to their practicality, and the updates are sensible, if relatively modest.
The Citroen C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso go on sale in June, with first deliveries due in September.
Expect a bit of a price increase when Citroen get round to revealing prices for the facelifted cars..
