Ferrari P4/5 Competizione is go
James Glickenhaus has confirmed that the Ferrari P4/5 Competizione is being built and will enter the 2010 Nurburgring 24hr
James Glickenhaus is wealthy. Even in these troubled times he’s still wealthy. And he’s a Ferrari nut. Which explains why he had Pininfarina create him the Ferrari P4/5 a few years ago at a reported cost of $4 million. But it seems that wasn’t enough for Mr Glickenhaus and he’s decided he needs another car to go racing in. Looking like the P4/5 but with different underpinnings. At least that was the rumour. But it now appears to be fact.
James Glickenhaus – who posts on Ferrari Chat under the name ‘Napolis’ – has confirmed that the car is under way and the hope is that it will be able to compete in the 2010 Nurburgring 24hr in the open class, as there are no plans to homologate the car. Unlike the P4/5 which was Enzo-based this new Competizione will look for a V8 Ferrari engine and chassis as the basis for the new car for reasons of economy.
James is an obvious Ferrari nut, but a car nut in general. He already owns three cars from the Ford-Ferrari wars period and is keen to take the blue oval on in the new P4/5 Competizione. And he’s looking for sponsorship. Which with all the publicity he’s likely to get for this new one-off Ferrari is probably not going to be too hard to come by.
£500 for the Cars UK Logo on the side?!

Its a beautiful car, shame there not standard production model, I’d love to see one on the road.
