Ford’s new 7-seater Grand C-Max (2010) revealed for the first time ahead of the Frankfurt Motor Show.

We got Ford’s info on the new C-Max a few days ago, but Ford were keeping us in the dark about its big brother – the Ford Grand C-Max. Well that hasn’t panned out quite as Ford would have liked, as we’ve just had a stack of pictures of the Grand C-Max drop in to our inbox.

Ford have gone the Renault route and Christened the bigger C-Max the ‘Grand’. And it is. It’s a stretched version of the standard S-Max giving it ample room for a third rwo of seats. It grows in length, gets a higher rear roof line – to help with headroom in the third row of seats – and acquires sliding rear doors to be access to the back easier.

This looks to be a great people carrier. We’ve come to expect a lot from Ford in recent years, particularly in the areas of driving dynamics and build quality. Although the Grand C-Max won’t be the greatest drivers car in the world, we’re pretty sure it will be as good as - if not better –  than anything in its class. The interior looks to be well-though out and modern, with some decent seat arrangement options.

No doubt Ford will enlighten us further before too long now the cat’s out of the bag.
