The first full length trailer for the Amazon take on Top Gear – The Grand Tour – arrives with Clarkson, Hammond and May, a tank, a camel and lots of cars.
When we ran the video of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May doing a quiz with James Corden for the Late Late Show whilst driving a Corvette a couple of days ago, we did note we’re likely to see a few more ‘trailers’ for The Grand Tour soon. And here one is.
The first full-length trailer for The Grand Tour has hit the airwaves, and it does look visually stunning.
Filmed on four continents, there’s clearly been serious money spent on production, the ex Top Gear trio seem to be genuinely having fun, and there’s clearly lots of nonsense dialled in too. It looks like a cinematic Top Gear.
Filmed on four continents – and with a big tent for the studio work in each location – it’s not just exotic cars (although there seem to be plenty of those to go around), but jet skis, a camel, a tank, buggies, a broken arm, a crane, a shipwreck and much more.
There’s also deep blue seas, wild deserts, Egyptian relics, Italian crowds and a rainy, cold track somewhere in England.
Of course, cars feature too, and there’s an Alfa 4C Spider (with Clarkson doing his best Roger Moore James Bond), LaFerrari, McLaren P1, Porsche 918, Aston Martin Vulcan (which Clarkson stalls), Ford Mustang and even an MX-5.
It looks the perfect recipe.
