Hyundai's Top Deer Advert for the ix35
Hyundai has produced a Top Gear spoof advert for the South African market, with ‘Top Deer’ featuring the Hamster, the Wildebeest, the Turtle and’ The Stag’.
We don’t do a lot of ‘Funny Adverts’ on Cars UK. We also don’t do a huge amount of ‘Cute Animals and Cars’ adverts either. But sometimes an advert comes along that is worth bringing you. And this one from South Africa for the new Hyundai ix35 is a good effort.
Essentially, Hyundai has run a spoof Top Gear piece on the new ix35. They’ve replaced Messrs Clarkson, Hammond and May with a Wildebeest (Clarkson), a Hamster (you’ll never guess) and a Turtle (May). They are the presenters of the ‘Top Deer’ show, and the Stig gets replace by ‘The Stag’.
It all sounds daft – which it is – and usually we wouldn’t bother putting this up for you to see. But something tickled us. Perhaps it’s the thought of the reaction of Jeremy, Richard and James when they see this, or how well Hyundai has managed to characterise them with the animals.
