Jaguar launches two Special Edition F-Pace models – the F-Pace 300 Sport and F-Pace Chequered Flag – to get buyers in to showrooms.
When car makers need to get punters in to showrooms, they often roll out ‘Special Edition’ models with added kit at ‘bargain’ prices to tempt wallets to open. And that’s what Jaguar is busy doing.
We’ve already had an XF Chequered Flag, and Jaguar Black Edition models across the range, this year, and the F-Type Chequered Flag and and XE 300 Sport late last year, and now it’s time for a couple of F-Pace models to help falling sales – the F-Pace 300 Sport and F-Pace Chequered Flag.
The F-Pace 300 Sport gets cosmetic titivations with 22″ alloys and yellow brake calipers, comes with a choice of 2.0 litre petrol or V6 diesel engines, and ultra low-rolling resistance tyres to help shave a smidge off CO2 emissions.
Interior tweaks include yellow contrast stitching, 300 Sport logos, Touch Pro Nav, 12.3″ digital instrument panel, Panoramic roof, Meridian Sound and heated electric leather seats.
Jaguar say the titivations and extra kit would cost £8,430 if you specced an R-Sport, but the 300 Sport costs only £5k more. Diesel buyers get £4,555 of extras for an extra £500.
The F-Pace Chequered Flag is another Chequered Flag special edition, based on the R-Sport but with tweaked front bumper, black exterior highlights, 20″ black alloys, and a leather and aluminium trim interior with Panoramic roof, electric front seats, 12.3″ digital instruments, Touch Pro Nav and Meridian Sound. It costs from £46,995 and comes with a range of 2.0 litre petrol and diesel engine options. According to Jaguar, there’s £5,80 of extras for and extra £3,400.
Both the F-Pace 300 Sport and F-Pace Chequered Flag are on sale at Jaguar’s UK dealers.
