Koenigsegg Trevita revealed

The new Koenigsegg Trevita, with diamond finish Carbon Fibre

The new Koenigsegg Trevita, with diamond finish Carbon Fibre

Koenigsegg has produced a new, limited edition, CCXR. Only three Koenigsegg Trevita will be made.

Earlier on this year we exclusively revealed that Koenigesgg were going to limit production of the CCXR and the CCXR Edition. And so they have. But they’ve decided to premier a new carbon fibre weave technique in an even more limited edition Koenigsegg – The Koenigsegg Trevita – in diamond carbon fibre finish.

This is the first time that Koenigsegg’s visible carbon weave has been produced in anything other than bog-standard black. But in the Treviat it looks stunning – it shimmers in a  way its namesake would be proud of.

The CCXR Trevita will – we assume – come with the same bio-fuel engine as the CCXR Edition, as Koenigsegg has told us that this car will produce the same mammoth 1018 bhp, and sub-3 second 0-60, as the Edition.

The Diamond Fibre Carbon weave process is a proprietory one, developed by Koenigsegg. It involves coating each individual fibre in the diamond coating prior to the weave process.

Only three Koenigsegg Trevitas are being built, which will make it even rarer than the six CCXR Editions produced. Goodies include a double carbon fibre rear wing (a bit of input from the TG boys!), ceramic brakes and an infotainment system.

Koenigsegg hasn’t let us know the price yet. But we’re working on it.
