The Lamborghini LP650-4 Roadster - the default paint job
One of the first owners of a Lamborghini LP650-4 Roadster has decided that the standard Grey and Orange paint job is not to his liking.
So far we’ve only seen one Lamborghini LP650-4 Roadster in the wild. And that was one of Lamborghini’s own cars in the States. But that’s hardly surprising – they’re only just starting to make their way in to customer hands.
But it seems one of the first customers – the recipient of Lamborghini LP650-4 #2 – wasn’t exactly thrilled with the only paint job available from Lamborghini. As a Limited Edition, run-out model the LP650-4 Roadster comes with a Grey paint job with Orange accents. And rather than get Lamborghini to repaint the car to his liking – which would probably have put his delivery back more than a little – the owner took delivery of his car and promptly sent it off to the paint shop – the eponymous Al & Ed’s.
The LP650-4 was stripped back to the metal and repainted in Matt Black with Gloss Black highlights. Whilst the car was in the shop they shoved on a new set of 19″ alloys and installed a 1600w sound system. Oh, and something every Lamborghini owner needs – a radar detector.
The result is quite stunning – to our eyes – and a big improvement on the standard Orange and Grey. Although we’d probably have lost the Orange brake callipers as well.
