The Land Rover Discovery Sport – the new Freelander – is just weeks away from reveal, so we get a video tease of the new Sport’s interior from Land Rover.
The official reveal of the new Land Rover Discovery Sport – the first in a line of Discovery models and the replacement for the Freelander – is just a few weeks away, and Land Rover are ramping up interest with a new video tease.
We’ve already had video and photos of the new Discovery Sport doing its final testing – albeit in disguise – and today it’s time for a reveal of the interior. Well, a glimpse is probably more accurate.
What we do get to see is an overhead view of the Discovery Sport’s 5+2 interior – moving, no less – and a look at the panoramic glass roof (which we assume will be an option).
There’s also a less than clear look at the dashboard and its Infotainment screen, but the clearest view is probably a Discovery Sport key fon being pushed through the air by a miniature Virgin Galactic as Land Rover re-emphasize their partnership with Richard Branson’s space mission.
Gerry McGovern, Land Rover’s Design man, said:
Versatility is a fundamental element of the Discovery family and with 5+2 seating, generous load space and configurable seating, the new Discovery Sport truly deserves to wear the Discovery badge.
What this footage also showcases is the class leading cabin quality and craftsmanship of the highly desirable Discovery Sport.
We’re probably in for a few more teases from Land Rover before the Discovery Sport is officially revealed on 3 September.
