A gallery of photos of the Land Rover Freelander 2 HSE taken when we had Land Rovers baby SUV in for review.
The Land Rover Freelander, despite its sales success, was never a great car. Lots of promise but too many reliability problems. So we were very keen to get to gripos with the Freelander 2 in its top of the range guise to see just how good the latest version of the Freelander has become.
Truth be told, the Freelander 2 is a much better car than you’d expect. You’d expect it to be good off road, but it’s much more than merely competent on road too. With decent accommodation – slightly marred by a high load height and knees-up position in the back – it is more than just a notch-up in the credibilty stakes for Land Rover, it has conspired to become a very desirable compact SUV.
As usual, our snappers were busy. But the photos were a bit last minute as the Freelander had to go back to Land Rover and we’d been busy reviewing instead of snapping as the Freelander was covered in volcanic ash. But a last minute wash saved the day. Even if the location wasn’t the most inspiring ever,
