Mazda has revealed the Mazda6 Venture Edition, a limited edition Mazda6 as a five door petrol or diesel and a diesel estate. Costs from £21,000.

The current Mazda6 only has a limited shelf life with the Takeri Concept turning in to the new Mazda6 and due to arrive at the Paris Motor Show in September and go on sale early in 2013. So what better way to keep footfall in Mazda showrooms than a limited edition Mazda6 with extra goodies? Step forward the Mazda6 Venture Edition.

The Mazda6 Venure Edition comes in three flavours – either a petrol or diesel five door or a diesel estate – and is based on the TS2 trim level with extra goodies bolted on at modest cost to make for a bargain buy.

Extra equipment for the Venture Edition includes Sanyo TomTom SatNav, half leather and heated front seats. Cosmetic tweaks include 17″ gunmetal alloys, sports front grill, privacy glass nd a choice of  Brilliant Black, Crystal White Pearlescent, Black Mica, Stormy Blue Mica and Dolphin Grey Mica.

The extra goodies on the Venture Edition are on top of the already decent spec on the Mazda6 TS2 which includes parking sensors, rear vehicle monitoring system and six disc CD.

At between £340 and £480 extra (depending on model) the Mazda6 Venture Edition offers decent value and Mazda should have no trouble shifting the 257  Venture Editions on offer.
