New BMW 6 Series Convertible (2011) spied

The new BMW 6 Series Convertible gets a little less camouflage

New spy photos of the BMW 6 Series Convertible (2011) have surfaced with less disguise. The new 6 Series could launch at the Paris Motor Show this year.

The replacement for the BMW 6 Series has been running around the world in a swirl of black and white camouflage for so long it will need a facelift before it launches. But the camouflage is gradually being reduced as the launch gets closer – perhaps even at Paris this year.

We’ve had the speculation this last week that the new 6 series is the production version of the Gran Coupe Concept from BMW. As you know, we don’t buy that. There are similarities – but then they’re both BMWs – but we’re sure it ends there and the Gran Coupe will be a range-topping, 4-door, swoopy coupe, perhaps badged as BMW 8 Series.

But back to the new 6 Series. It gets a bigger kidney and headlights together with LEDs for the indicators. Engines look set to those you’ll now find in the 7 Series (6 and 8 pot), although whether there will be an ‘Eco’ version is debatable. As of course is the M6. Will we get it?

Of course we will.
