The new Kia Ceed – revealed in Geneva this year – will get its UK debut at the London Motor Show this month and go on sale on August 1.
The new Kia Ceed arrived at the Geneva Motor Show a couple of months ago, and now it’s getting its first UK showing at the London Motor Show at ExCel London from 17 May.
Aimed at cars like the Ford Focus and VW Golf, the new Ceed not only gets a new name (it’s now the ‘Ceed’ and not the ‘cee’d’ – goodbye confusing searches), it also grows in size a bit, gets sharper styling and looks a bit more upmarket.
Kia has also had a play with the Ceed’s interior too, with more quality materials, an infotainment screen plonked on the top of the dash and a driver-centric console tilted towards the driver, as well as plenty of driver assist stuff like Lane Follow Assist, Adaptive Cruise, Blind Spot, Collision Avoidance and heated windscreen.
Power comes from a 120PS version of the 1.0 litre petrol as well as a new 1.4 litre with 140PS and a selection of 1.6 litre diesels, with new independent suspension and quicker steering to make the new Kia more dynamic.
This year’s London Motor Show runs from 17-21 May. The new Kia Ceed goes on sale at Kia’s UK Dealers on 1 August 2018.
