Having seen the new 9-5 in the metal, I must say that i wish Saab the very best, it's a good effort, and while it's good looking and spacious, I'm not so sure about the diesel engines, prehaps they could have been stretched to 1985cc or even 1990cc as opposed to 1956cc especially the 160 bhp engine, it's a large car which by virtue of it's size is weighty. The interior is not bad either, the seats felt a bit firm but comfortable and the seat heaters worked well, all the controls felt close at hand and it's great to see that blue tooth has been installed(told by a Saab salesman it's standard acroos the range). The car I sat in was an automatic, which is prehaps why I felt the engine could have done with a slight increase in size but a decent test drive should prove me right or wrong. Anyhow with what I've seen and read of the motoring write ups this is definately a step in the right direction, now for a test drive........!

Nice, real nice. However do to having a large dog and this & that, should we come into a good job(i.e.cash)or saab come up with a brilliant deal e.g.mobility/long or short term lease(as opposed to hire)we would love one of these machines. This new 95 is a vast improvement over their designes for quite some time,in fact, since the 900 EMS.Will SAAB ever make a large car again similar to the 'Carlsson'.SAAB cars recently have only been mid-sized bodies.I like a car with plenty of room,no doubt this 'newbie' is very comfortable.Don't like loads of gadgets and BS.Keep it simple.I'm sure SAAB's have the quality. We did actually own a Carlsson but it was on it's last legs and been abused. It only lasted 2/3 months and them'BOOM'! That thing could shift though.Once left an audi TT for dead on the Colchester by-pass.Good times.Make us an offer. We really would love a new SAAB. Joe & Mary of Armagh N.I.
