Vauxhall Zafira Tourer Full price list released
The Vauxhall Zafira Tourer – revealed at Geneva 2011 – is Vauxhall / Opel’s answer to the Ford S-Max. And now we have all the prices.
Vauxhall do like to drag car reveals out. And even when you think they’re ready to tell you everything, there’s still stuff missing. But, finally, we get a full price list for all the models in the new Vauxhall Zafira Tourer range.
We already know that Vauxhall’s answer to the S-Max is actually cheaper. Well, we know the base Zafira Tourer is cheaper than the base S-Max, because Vauxhall told us. But that’s as far as they went.
But a couple of months on they’ve obviously got to grips with their spreadsheets and have divvied up a range of models and prices, from the aforementioned Zafira Tourer ES 1.8 (140PS) at £21,000 to the Zafira Tourer Elite 2.0 CDTI (165PS) Auto at £28,465.
Which means thew Zafira Tourer starts at £1,200 less than the S-Max and the Elite 2.0 CDTI Auto comes in at £1,270 more than the Titanium 2.0 TDCi (163ps) Auto, which is probably the closest comparison.
Trim levels on the Zafira Tourer are ES, Exclusiv, SE, SRi and Elite, with price points overlapping somewhat. So you pay your money and take your choice.
Petrol engines choices are 1.4i 16v Turbo (140PS) or 1.8i 16v (140PS) and the diesels come as 2.0CDTI in 110PS, 130PS and 165PS flavours. The 130PS version also comes as an ecoFLEX.
Plenty of choice and the Zafira Tourer looks a decnt option. But whether it has the measure of Ford’s S-Max remains to be seen.
