Peugeot 5008 – Diesel Car of the Year

The Peugeot 5008

Peugeot's 5008 wins the Diesel Car of the Year Award

Peugeot’s latest MPV – the Peugeot 5008 – has won the Diesel Car Magazine Car of the Year. The 3008 and RCZ also picked up awards.

There isn’t really a bad car in the Peugeot range at the moment. Well, not a terrible one anyway. Unless you count the Peugeot 807. Which shouldn’t be for this world much longer. Anyway, I digress. Peugeot has some good cars at the moment, something which has been recognised by Diesel Car Magazine which has just awarded the recently launched Peugeot 5008 the Diesel Car Of the Year.

Not surprisingly the 5008 didn’t just claim the best car of the year gong but also came out on top in its own category – Best MPV. Mind you, it would have been a bit odd if it hadn’t. We’ll get to find out just how good the 5008 is as Peugeot are sending us one to review in the next couple of weeks. So we’ll let you know then what our motley crew think after a week of playing.

But it wasn’t just the 5008 that got a gong at the awards. Peugeot also picked up best Sports Car of the Year for the Peugeot RCZ and Best Crossover for the Peugeot 3008. And again, we have both the 3008 and RCZ up for review in the next few weeks so we’ll let you have a cross-section of views.

Interestingly, the Peugeot RCZ has had more claims on its time with us already than anything we’ve had for review this year. We’re hoping it’s a return not just to really stylish Peugeots (and away from the ‘Big-Gob’ nose) but ones which are huge fun too.

We’ll find out soon enough.
