Porsche Cayenne Diesel TECHART launched

There are seemingly more tuners and modifiers of the Porsche Cayenne than there are Porsche Cayennes! An exaggeration, but the Cayenne does seem to attract the modifiers. Maybe it’s because the Cayenne is less than great looking in the first place, so modifiers would struggle to make it a lot worse. Mind you, the Maff Muron Porsche Cayenne achieves the seemingly impossible in spades.

But some modifiers do get it right – particularly in the performance stakes. Some of Gemballas’s Porsche Cayenne Tornado cars offer spectacular performance, if not always the most tasteful of body mods. But time are a changing, and modifiers are starting to look at the Porsche Cayenne Diesel as a good way forward. Step up TECHART, with the Porsche Cayenne Diesel TECHART.

TECHART provide the usual raft of body kits and interior upgrades, but their suspension and engine mods are the most interesting. TECHART’s TA 055/D1 power kit gives the Cayenne Diesel an extra 50 horses (up to 290bhp) and an extra 95lb/ft of torque. That translates in to an impressive 0-60mph time of 7.7 seconds but, probably more importantly, the extra torque increases flexibilty markedly.
