Renault has confirmed prices for the RenaultSport Clio 200, starting at £18,995 in standard spec and £19,995 for the Lux spec.

Starting at £18,995, the RenaultSport Clio 200 comes with AirCon, SatNav, Bluetooth, Keyless and Sports seats with Renault’s Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) gearbox as standard (which can skip gears) and the RS Drive system – giving a choice of three modes that change the settings for throttle, engine and steering – launch control and traction control you can actually switch off.
If you want a few more home comforts, then you can opt for the Lux version that throws in Climate, auto lights and wipers, better sound system and electric windows for an extra £1,000.
The pricing of the new RenaultSport Clio 200 pitches the hot Renault above the Fiesta ST price (£16,995 for the regular ST, £17,995 for the ST2) and about on a par with the new Peugeot 208 GTi (starts at £18,895), although it is a chunk cheaper than the Polo GTI with the DSG ‘box (starts at £19,430 for the 3-door).
It’s probably a sensible price point for a car that’s a bit more hard-core than most of the competition, and it’s a bit cheaper than we were expecting too.
The RenaultSport Clio 200 order book opens on 8th April with first UK cars arriving in June.

Do we really want climate control and expensive stereo on the Clio not to metion an auto gearbox? Looks like the Clio 200 has gone soft to me.
M1TCH says
My money would still go on the appealing Fiesta ST – it’s not so much the price as the manual gearbox which swings it for me…
Cars UK says
We’re with you on that, and the ST is probably better bolted together too.
