Bentley is launching a series of customisation option for the Continental Series called ‘Series 51′

When you get to the top of the car making tree – certainly in terms of luxury cars – your bottom line can be helped enormously by ‘Bespoke’ services, and most of the luxury car makers offer a degree of customisation to their customers.

But these sorts of services are normally only offered at the very top end. But to make it easier for customers on their ‘Entry-Level’ models, Bentley is launching ‘Series 51‘, a set of customisation options for the Bentley Continental GT and GTC.

Series 51 is named after the year in which Bentley’s original styling department was created by John Blatchley. It will offer 3-tone interiors with extra leather option; premium materials for dashboard and central console; bespoke, polished ‘Diamond’ 20″ wheels and two-tone paint options.

I suppose this is one up from adding a ‘Ghia’ badge – which Ford did in times gone by – but it’s hard to call it a full bespoke service.

Sort of one up from a Mulliner pack.
