Skoda Citigo Sport LOOKS Sporty

The Skoda Citigo Sport has been revealed as a sporty take on Skoda’s little city car, with more aggressive looks and lowered suspension.

The Skoda Citigo – Skoda’s take on the VW Up! – is a cracking little runaround for urban landscapes and perhaps the pick of the trio of Up! variants from the VW group. But it’s not overtly sporty, even if it does a good impression of a little go-kart around town.

So Skoda are making a virtue out of the lack of any power boost for the new Citigo Sport by calling it the ‘Seemingly Powerful’ Citigo with sporty styling, lowered suspension and new interior. It looks the part, it just doesn’t go any better than the standard Citigo with its 1.0 litre 60PS engine.

But the titivations to the CitiGo Sport doe make it stand out as something that at least looks the part with 15″ alloys, Fogs, sports suspension with a 15mm lower ride height, spoilers front and back and a rear diffuser and a thumping great stripe that runs along the top of the CitiGo Sport, as well as extra stripes dotted around.

Inside the Citigo Sport gets black and red sports seats, leather steering wheel, handbrake and gearstick gaiter with red stitching, matching floor mats and a grey and black dashboard with grey instruments. You’ll also get Skoda’s PID which offers SatNav, Bluetooth, media player and vehicle info display.

The Citigo Sporty comes in a choice of Candy White with red stripes, Tornado Red with black stripes and Deep Black with red stripes and be had a a 3-door (price £10,290) or a 5-door (price £10,640.
