The new Series of Top Gear – Series 26 – is on the way as Top Gear tease its arrival with a new video of antics for Matt LeBlanc’s final outing.
Top gear has gone through a presenter or three since Clarkson, Hammond and May departed for Amazon’s deeper pockets, and it’s about to undergo another change of lineup as Matt LeBlanc leaves to spend more time with his family, and Freddie Flintoff and Paddy McGuinness arrive to take TG in another direction.
But before that happens we have Series 26, the last series hosted by Matt LeBlanc, and it’s getting close to airing so we’re treated to a video teaser of what to expect in the new series.
It starts out with a new Bentley Continental GT on what looks like a rally stage (we’ve been here before, of course), followed by the same Bentley ready for a head-to-head with a Bentley Speed 8 Endurance car at Ascari.
A bit more Bentley action is followed by a Porsche 911 GT2 RS failing to keep it together in seriously wet conditions, some Tuk Tuk Polo action, hairy moments on narrow mountain tracks, a new Phantom, old Rollers and what looks like an off-road battle between the Fiat Panda Cross and Suzuki Ignis.
Just as Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris and Rory Reid seem to have properly gelled, we’re going down another path. So enjoy this series; who knows how series 27 will turn out.
