Top Gear spotted filming Christmas Special in India – Mini, Jaguar & Rolls Royce +video

The Top Gear team have been spotted filming the Christmas Special in Mumbai, India with a Jaguar XJS, Mini Cooper & Rolls Royce Silver Shadow.

With the weather as Summer-like as it is at the moment, it’s hard to believe Christmas is just round the corner. But it is, so that means Top Gear are busy filming this year’s Christmas special. And they’re doing it in Mumbai – which is probably cooler than the UK at the moment.

It seems the boys are driving classic British cars around India with, it would appear, James piloting a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, Richard in a Mini Cooper and Jeremy getting to play with a Jaguar XJS.

The footage we have at the bottom comes from a shoot in Mumbai today, and shows some sort of daft challenge with the Hamster trying to load a pile of cans in his Mini and piling a stack of wooden pallets on the roof.

What else the Top Gear team have in store we don’t yet know, but with a sub-continent as enormous and diverse as India there will no doubt be lots of mischief to be made.

Jeremy let slip last month that the TG crew were off to India to see what mayhem they could create for this year’s Top Gear Christmas Special, so we’re as certain as we can be that this Indian Adventure is scheduled as this year’s Christmas and Boxing Day Special.
