Not content with flogging 100 units of the Toyota Yaris Hybrid to Europcar, Toyota are intent on mopping up more sales with the launch of a couple of special editions – the Toyota Yaris Edition and Toyota Yaris Trend.

Both special editions get a blacked-out C-Pillar and privacy glass to give the illusion of a floating roof, a choice of Tyrol Silver or Cirrus White paint and a three or five-door body.

The Yaris Edition is based on the entry-level T2 trim and throws in 15″ alloys, Fogs, colour-coded handles, chrome trim and a tweaked speedo and leather gear knob. It hets the 1.0 liutre 68bhp four-pot petrol engine with a speed manual ‘box.

The Yaris Trend starts of as a Yaris SR and adds lowered suspension (yes, this is a ‘Sporty’ Yaris), Fogs, 16″ alloys, chrome exhaust tail pipe and a touchscreen infotainment system. Power comes from the 1.33 litre petrol with a more interesting 98bhp and a six-speed manual ‘box.

The Toyota Yaris Edition costs from £11,695 and the Yaris Trend from £13,795. Both are now on sale in the UK.
