The Vauxhall Insignia can now be ordered with bespoke paint jobs matched to any sample as Vauxhall tries to find the key to unlocking sales.
Mainstream car sales have suffered in recent years as ‘Premium’ brands have moved in to steal sales, and Vauxhall’s decision to stop relying on fleet and rental sales has seen a further decline in sales as they’ve discovered there’s no huge appetite in the UK for a new Vauxhall from private buyers.
But Vauxhall think they’ve come up with a plan to boost sales, at least of the Insignia, by offering buyers the option to paint their new Insignia in absolutely any colour they want.
Vauxhall say buyers can bring along a sample of any colour – on a tie, a bag, a photo or anything – and they’ll create a custom paint job to match.
Not only that, but you will be able to choose the type of paint finish you want, with metallic, pearl, solid and tinted clear-varnish options all available.
Vauxhall will also be offering an ‘Exclusive’ range of colours – including eight two-coat metallic paints including Light Champagne, Scorpio Grey and Tornado Blue – pearlescent in Panther Black, Greenery and Dynamic Orange and a clearcoat in Vanity Red or Glory Red.
If you want the ‘Bespoke’ paint option it’ll cost you £5,300, and the two-coat metallic is £4,400.
Expect Vauxhall Insignia sales to explode.
