New 2012 Hyundai i30 Tourer Price

The new Hyundai i30 Tourer (Estate) will come in four trim levels and a choice of two engines and cost from £16,195 when it goes on sale in July.

Not only has Hyundai UK had their abacus out to come up with a price for the new i30 Tourer (it starts at £16,195) they’ve also had their box brownie out and snapped a few photos of a real live UK Hyundai i30 – including the interior.

So now we know the new i30 Estate has an interior that looks just like the i30 Hatch and you don’t have to have a brown paint job. Such a relief.

The i30 with a shed on the back will come in a choice of four trim levels, Classic, Active, Style and Style Nav, although that could easily turn in to six if Hyundai decides to bolt ‘Nav’ on the end of the Classic and Active trims at some point too.

Engine choices are limited to either a 1.6 litre 120PS petrol or 1.6 litre CRDi diesel with the a choice of either 110PS or 128PS with both manual and auto options.

Standard kit is decent enough with AirCon, Bluetooth, daytime LEDs and a multi-function steering wheel, with a small jump up to Active trim (starts at £17,295) adding toys like Alloys, Cruise and Parking Sensors (rear only) in to the mix.

Style trim (from £20,095) adds Climate, Parking Sensors (front), auto lights and wipers and electric mirrors. We won’t spoil the surprise by telling you what Style Nav adds, but its starts at £21,095.

Hyundai is also starting to learn the joys of the ‘Pack’ to extract an extra bit of cash from buyers, so you can have the Convenience Pack adding Keyless entry and start, chrome on the door handles, puddle lamps and folding mirrors for £750 or the Individual Pack for £1,000 which adds leather seats (heated too) and LCD Colour Display. A panoramic roof is also available for £950.

An all round decent offering from Hyundai with good specs, decent looks, lots of room and reasonable prices.

The new Hyundai i30 Tourer goes on sale at the end of July.
