Nissan Super-Juke with 480hp planned

It’s reported that Nissan Europe are planning a 480hp ‘Super’ Juke, probably powered by the 3.8 litre V6 from the GT-R.

Only last week we had news that the appealing Nissan Juke has had a few tweaks to make it more economical; more suited to its urban environment. But now comes new from the other end of the economy spectrum with a report that Nissan Europe is planning a monster ‘Super’ Juke complete with the turbo V6 from the Nissan GT-R.

The interior of the Super Juke has been stripped-out and lightened and under the bonnet will sit – almost certainly, as there’s little else that would work – the incredible turbocharged V6 from the Nissan GT-R.

That would give the little Juke something approaching 500bhp, and the sort of performance that would shade a Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Expect to see a 0-60mph in around 4 seconds and a top speed of – we dread to think.

Apart from the big lump under the bonnet and the lightweight interior, the Super-Juke will get all the accoutrements of a go-faster SUV. So in come big wheel arches and a front splitter and some sort of double-wing arrangement going on at the back.

According to the guys at Jalopnik, we can expect to see the Super-Juke on offer by the end of this year. Which is hard to believe, but they’re pretty sure.

We already like the Juke a lot. We now absolutely love it.
