It seems the new Mercedes S-Class is proving so popular that Mercedes is having to increase production to keep up with demand.

Mercedes S-Class production increased

We’ve reported recently on the strong sales Mercedes is enjoying with the new A-Class (and its swoopy-coupe sibling CLA), but it’s not just Mercedes compact cars that are flying out of showrooms.
But it’s not just the S-Class (as well as the A-Class cars) that are selling strongly, Mercedes are also upping production at Bremen to build more GLK and C-Class models.
And with the compact Mercedes GLA SUV still to make its mark on Mercedes’ sales numbers – and the new C-Class coming on-stream in 2014 – it seems likely 2014 will be an even stronger year for the three pointed star as it moves to reap the rewards of recent investment.
It’s a strong showing for Mercedes, and so far this year they’ve sold as many cars by the end of November as they did in the whole of 2012 and look to be on track to become the world’s biggest-selling premium brand.
