Watch a Nissan Note roll down a hill in a giant ZORB

Nissan has created a giant ‘CarZorb’ – more than six metres in diameter – inserted a Nissan Note and rolled it down a hill to promote its Safety Shield Technology.

In case you don’t already know, a Zorb is a big, transparent inflatable ball with space inside for thrill seekers to plant themselves in and get rolled down a hill. A sort ofd modern equivalent of chasing a cheese down a hill.

For some reason, Nissan decided that a giant Zorb – dubbed a ‘CarZorb’ – would be a great way to push the Safety Shield Technology in the Nissan Note, so they set about building one.

The CarZorb took more than two months to build, measures more than 18 metres round, weighs more than a tonne and is able to accommodate a Nissan Note inside.

Once Nissan had built the CarZorb they took it off to a military training facility in the UK which has a course of steep hills and let the CarZorb and Nissan Note free (see the video below).

Creating a life size CarZorb to highlight the technology is an exciting and memorable way of reminding people about the benefits of Nissan’s Safety Shield.

And it was all a bit of a hoot too.
