New Kia Sportage: UK Prices and Specs announced
The refreshed 2018 Kia Sportage SUV goes on sale in the UK with updated looks, new technology and a hybrid option. Prices start at £20,305.
Having announced prices and specs for the new Kia Ceed this morning, it would be plain bad manners not to do the same for Kia’s best-selling model in the UK – the Kia Sportage SUV.Revealed back in May, the new Sportage got the usual facelift tweaks, some extra technology and a new 48V Mild Hybrid option to add appeal and a bit of ‘Green’ to the Sportage experience.
Sportage models kick of with the ‘1’ trim level which comes with 16″ alloys, Air Con, LED running lights, DAB, electric windows, reversing camera and infotainment with Android Auto and CarPlay. There’s also a decent amount of safety kit including Hill Start, Trailer Assist and Downhill Brake Control. Prices start at £20,305 for the 1.6 petrol and £21,595 for the diesel.
Grade 2 comes with 17″ alloys, 7″ Touchscreen with Sat Nav, Privacy glass, electric folding mirrors, body colour trim, Heated front seats, Climate, auto wipers, as well as extra safety stuff like Lane Keep and Speed Limit.
From the Sportage 2 it seems you have to jump to the Sportage 4 which gets an 8″ Touchscreen, Panoramic roof, Keyless and leather plus 360 monitor, JBL Sound, Black wheelarch trim, LED lights, 19″ alloys and Forward Collision Avoidance.
There are also GT-Line and GT-Line S models too with sporty alloys, flat-bottomed steering wheel, ventilated seats and wireless phone charging.
Finally, as far as ‘Trim’ is concerned, there’s also an ‘Edition 25’ model with the 1.6 petrol engine and 17″ alloys, cloth and leather trim and premium paint, with prices from £25,655.
Engine options are the aforementioned 1.6-litre GDi petrol plus the 1.6-litre CRDi diesel in two power options, a 1.6 T-GDi turbo petrol plus that 2.0 CRDi 48V mild hybrid.
