The Alfa Romeo Giulia TI is a new addition to the Giulia range as Alfa titivate the Giulia and Stelvio offerings with small tweaks.
Suppose you want the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio with its delicious 500bhp 2.9 litre Ferrari V6, but you can’t quite stretch to it?
Alfa does have a mid-range offering in the Giulia range with the Veloce model, but it looks less impressive and can only muster 276bhp, but it is more than £20 less than the Quadrifoglio. But now there’s another option – the new Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce TI.
Alfa has decided that they should follow the lead of just about every other car maker and deliver a proper sheep in wolf’s clothing for the less deep-pocketed, so although the Giulia Veloce TI has to make do with the Veloce’s 276bhp engine, it gets lots of the bells and whistles from the Quadrifoglio.
That means 19″ Quadrifoglio alloys, carbon grille and mirrors, red calipers, the option of any Quadrifoglio paint job and (again an option) a Carbon Pack which adds the Quadrifoglio lip spoiler and Quadrifoglio side skirts to make for a fairly convincing look.
Prices start at £45k, but they’ll soon rise if you tick the options you need, although that’s still going to be £15k less than the real deal.
As well as delivering the new Giulia Veloce TI, Alfa has also tweaked the specs in the Giulia and Stelvio range a bit including adding 8.8″ Alfa Connect with Nav, Carplay and Android Auto across the ranges.
The MY19 Alfa Giulia and Stelvio ranges are now available to order from Alfa’s UK dealers.
