Alfa Romeo MiTo – now it’s the video

Yes, we’ve banged on quite a bit about the Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA, fed by a constant trickle of information about the car from Alfa Romeo. But only a concept? Not a chance!

Alfa Romeo has just released a video of the MiTo GTA strutting its stuff, and if this is just a concept I’ll eat my hat. It sounds right, it looks right and it certainly picks up its skirts and flies. So when are you going to give us a launch date Alfa?

In case you’ve forgotten, the MiTo GTA sports a 1749cc lump, with 240bhp and a level of performance that will have even the MINI JCW and the Megane RenaultSport quaking in their boots. It’s a lightened MiTo (which is essentially what the GTA bit means) that will offer not only terrific performance, but more than acceptable levels of economy and emissions.

With class leading residuals, the regular MiTos are proving to be a crackingly good buy, and in the hot-hatch stakes we can’t think of a more desirable option than the MiTo GTA.

So come on, Alfa. Give us the GTA!
