Audi has revealed pricing for the 2013 R8, which starts at £91,575 for the V8 Coupe. The new Audi R8 V10 plus costs from £124,675.
The woeful R tronic ‘box has finally been replaced by a proper S tronic ‘box, which should make the Audi R8 a properly useful everyday supercar with real performance – and enjoyment – from the flappy-paddle version.
Elsewhere there have been the usual cosmetic and oily tweaks and tucks to freshen up the R8, including titivated bumpers and a new grill, even more modest changes to the interior and some new LED lights.
Apart from the arrival of a proper auto ‘box, the biggest news is the arrival of the Audi R8 V10 plus with a full 550PS on offer from its V10. It takes the place of the limited run R8 GT and comes as a coupe with either a manual ‘box or the new S tronic.
The 2013 Audi R8 goes on sale in the UK next month with prices starting at £91,575 for the manual V8 and £2,900 extra if you want S tronic. The R8 V10 starts at £112,675 (with the same £2900 for the S tronic) and the new V10 Plus costs £124,675.
Although the 2013 R8 goes on sale next month first customer cars won’t arrive until early 2013.
