2018 Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet full UK Price and Specifications

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet goes on sale in the UK with a choice of V12 and two V8 engines and prices starting at £115,910 for the S 560 AMG Line.

It’s three months since the 2018 Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet (and, for that matter, the S-Class Coupe) was revealed, and it now goes on sale in the UK with prices starting from £115,910 for the entry-level S 560 AMG Line Cabrio.

Just as it has across the S-Class range, the S 560 Cabriolet replaces the old S 500, bringing with it the new Mercedes 4.0 litre V8, complete with 9-speed auto, good for 462bhp, which is enough for a 0-62mph of a brisk 4.6 seconds and yet still manages official economy of 31.4mpg.

The AMG S 63 gets Mercedes M177 4.0 litre V8 with a more fulsome 603bhp and the AMG 9-speed Speedshift ‘box – and 0-62mph of 4.2 seconds – and the S 65 gets the 6.0 litre V12 with 621bhp and shaves o.1s off the S 63’s 0-62mph.

The S 560 is only available in AMG Line trim and comes with Aircap, Airscarf, Wireless phone charging, Airmatic suspension, COMAND online, dual 12.3″ screens, Keyless, auto lights and wipers, memory seats, ambient lighting, Burmester sound, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, 19″ alloys and more. It costs from £115,910.

Move up to the more focussed AMG S63 and you can add Seat Comfort Package, Driver Assistance Package, AMG exhaust, AMG suspension, AMG Sports Seats, Nappa leather, 20″ alloys and Panamericana grille. The S 63 Cabriolet costs from £140,610.

Go completely bonkers and opt for the V12 S 63 Cabriolet – which starts at £197,510 – and you get a new Energising Comfort Package, Warmth Comfort Package, Night View Assist Plus, Air Balance Package, 360 degree camera, HUD, Burmester High-End surround sound and Intelligent lighting with Swarovski crystals. Which is the least you’d expect for £200k.

You can add a Premium Equipment Package to the S 560 – with stuff like Nappa, 360 degree camera, and a chunk of MB’s ‘Packages’ for an extra £4,995, and if you do stump up for that then Mercedes will let you option the Driving assistance Package for an extra £1,695 instead of the normal £2,580.

The 2018 Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet is now on sale at Mercedes’ UK dealers, with first customer cars expected in Spring 2018.
