The Maserati GranTurismo S MC Sportline - revealed at Yas Marina
Maserati has revealed a Limited Edition GranTurismo for the Middle East – the Maserati GranTurismo S MC Sportline. Just 12 will be built.
I wonder if they’re going to have to fit an extension to the boot to get all that on the back of the car – Maserati GranTurismo S MC Sportline? It’s a bit of a mouthful, but what it is is a Limited Edition GranTurismo just for the Middle East Market.
Just 12 GranTurismo S MC Sportlines are being built. The 12 is justified by relating it to the number of Maserati dealerships in the Middle East and the number of trophies the MC 12 has acquired. Both numbers are 12, hence the limited edition run.
The GranTurismo S MC Sportline was revealed at the Yas Marina Circuit on Yas Island and each of the twelve cars will get a Matt White “ICE” paint job and a commemorative plaque for the dealership’s City. Maserati are also launching a similar limited edition GranTurismo S MC Sportline in Italy where there will be just 11 made and they will get a “Matt Bianco Fuji” paintjob, which must in some subtle way be different to the Matt White “ICE”. I suppose.
Maserati hasn’t given us much detail on what these limited edition GranTurismos get, but its safe to assume that they will have thrown in much of what the MC Sportline options list has to offer. That includes an aerodynamics package, special alloys, carbon fibre interior, suspension tweaks and beefed up brakes.
No idea on price, but as its pitched at the Middle East it’ a fair bet it’s not cheap. Not sure how many they’ll sell in Dubai, though.
