SEAT Leon FR+ added to Leon line-up

SEAT has added a new trim level above the FR on the Leon range. The SEAT Leon FR+ gets extra equipment including 18″ alloys and DAB radio.

If you have a successful formula, it’s not a bad idea to make the most of it, although it can sometimes be hard to know what to do when it’s your range-topper that’s the big success. But SEAT has a solution. Hence the SEAT Leon FR+ is launched.

Short of the Leon R – which is a bit of a stand-alone in the Leon range – the FR trim level was top of the heap. Despite that, a full 25 per cent of buyers opted for the FR trim level.

Which has no doubt inspired SEAT to up the ante by putting even more toys on the new range topper – the Leon FR+ (does what is says on the tin and saves thinking up a new moniker).

Available with either the 2.0 TSI 211 PS or 2.0 TDI CR 170 PS lumps, the Leon FR+ gets 18″ Ibera alloys, Seat Media System 2.2 (which gives you a 5″ screen with SatNav), DAB, Bluetooth, Bi-xenons, Adaptive Lights and front parking sensors.

As well as adding the FR+ trim level, SEAT has extended the reach of the standard FR trim option by offering it on lower powered models too, so you can now opt for a Leon FR with either the 1.4 TSI 125 PS (manual only) or 2.0 TDI CR 140 PS (manual and DSG) engines.

And while they’re at it, SEAT has also upped the spec on the Leon R, adding Media System 2.2, Bluetooth, Bi-xenons and LED lights at the back – and knocked a tenner off the price.
