This time last year Bentley revealed that a convertible Continental Supersports had set a world record on ice in Finland of 205.48mph on the frozen Baltic sea in Finland, quickly followed by the announcement of a limited edition Bentley Supersports ‘Ice Speed Record’ to cash in on the achievement.
Now, in the spirit of making the most of every success, Bentley are offering places on their ‘Power on Ice 2012’ trip back to Finland to play with the W12 Continental GT and the even more powerful Continental Supersports Coupe.
Bentley are billing the outing as a way to put your driving skills to the ultimate test on a track carved out of the ice. Peter Barnes, a senior instructor with Bentley, said:
The circuits are crafted from snow and ice and are unlike any other track or road you have seen before.
Power on Ice mixes the pure exhilaration of slaloming a Bentley supercar on a purpose-built course or taking a spin around a ‘figure of eight’ track, with the opportunity to acquire advanced techniques from a personal instructor, that will enable drivers to handle their cars with confidence even in the harshest weather conditions.
The trips run on half a dozen dates through February and cost from €8,690 to €10,490, depending on the accommodation you want. Non-driving partners can also go for the stunning winter break experience for €3,950.
