Skoda revealed their take on the VW Up – the Skoda Citigo – back in September, with plans for the new baby Skoda to go on sale this summer. But even though the 3-door Citigo has yet to actually go on sale, we’re already getting to see the next instalment – the 5-door Citigo – which will have its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
It now looks like Skoda plan on offering both the 3-door and 5-door Citigo from the off, which should mean sales starting after Geneva and first cars by mid-summer.
There are no real differences between the 3-door and 5-door Citigo – well, apart from the obvious – with both models getting a choice of two versions of the 1.0 litre 3-cylinder engine, the only engine on offer. That means either 59bhp or 74bhp, with the Green-Tec versions both managing to get sub 100g/km emissions.
That just leaves the 5-door version of the SEAT Mii to come, and then we’ve got the full set.
