New Citroen Grand C4 Picasso price from £19,200

The 2014 Citroen Grand C4 Picasso has now gone on sale in the UK with prices starting at £19,200 – £1,700 up on the five-seat model.

It’s been six months since the new Citroen Grand C4 Picasso was revealed, but Citroen UK has finally got round to putting it on sale and coming up with a price.

The seven-seat Grand C4 Picasso starts at £19,200 for the entry-level 1.6 litre 120bhp VTR petrol rising to £27,855 for the all-singing Exclusive+ with the 150bhp 2.0 litre diesel. That’s £1,700 more than the five-seat C4 Picasso.

The Grand C4 Picasso comes in four trim levels – VTR, VTR+, Exclusive and Exclusive+ – with all trim levels getting a panoramic windscreen, 7″ touchscreen, LED running lights and 16″ alloy wheels.

Move up to the VTR+ spec (which starts at £20,460) and yoiu can add in auto lights and wipers, parking sensors (rear), Fogs and picnic tables, with the Exclusive trim level (starts at £22,760) adding 17″ alloys, cornering Fogs, SatNav, 12″ screen and reversing camera.

Stretch your budget to the max for the Exclusive+ trim (starts at 25,160) and you’ll get 18″ alloys, privacy, LED rear lights, massaging seat fro the driver and all-round parking sensors.

Engines on offer include the new 92bhp 1.6 litre e-HDi which offers 74.3 mpg and sub 100g/km emissions, a 114bhp of the same 1.6 litre diesel, a 150bhp 2.0 litre diesel and a pair of petrol engines – the 1,2 litre 120bhp VTi and 155bhp 1.6 litre THP.

Citroen reckon just 10 per cent of UK buyers will opt for a petrol-engined Grand C4 Picasso and that 75 per cent of all sales will come from business buyers.
