The new Ford Mustang is going on sale in the UK and Europe, with 500 pre-orders set to be available during the UEFA Champions League Final in May.

The new Ford Mustang is going to be available in the UK, and in right hand drive for the first time, and Ford has decided to make it a bit of an event.
Ford is offering 500 pre-order Mustangs during the final – 130 of which will be RHD for the UK – in a choice of Fastback or convertible and with either the 324bhp 2.3 litre EcoBoost or the 420bhp 5.0 litre V8.
Standard spec includes Ford’s SYNC 2 (connectivity and SatNav), heated seats, Park Assist, Leather and 19″ alloys, with the 500 pre-order cars coming with a special pack and a limited edition certificate.
Ford’ Marketing VP in Europe, Roelant de Waard, said:
The arrival of the new Ford Mustang in Europe is an event that deserves the biggest possible stage.
We hope that making the first models available to order from the start of the final will ensure a reach which matches the significance.
Even though there are 130 UK spec Mustangs up for grabs during the UEFA Champions League Final on 24 May, you won’t actually be able to take delivery until 2015.
